The R&D and the implementation activities undertaken at the Mechatronics Department concern the area of advanced mechatronic and optomechatronic technologies for industrial and scientific applications.

The Department’s main research directions are as follows:

• advanced methods and systems of multiparameter quality inspection in the industry by means of opto-mechatronic methods;
• hybrid monitoring systems for technological processes in which optical inspection and thermo vision methods are used;
•  manipulators and robotic systems.

The dynamically developing Mechatronics Laboratory is equipped with unique, advanced tests stands and high quality test and research apparatus necessary for the execution of the undertaken research projects.
