The Institute for Sustainable Technologies – National Research Institute (ITeE-PIB), on behalf of Radom Municipality, participated to the INTERREG Lead Applicant Workshop in Brussels. Such participation was relevant in order to collect all the necessary information to foster a shared project idea concerning exchange of good practices among managing authorities and stakeholders in relation with the thematic objective “Competitiveness of SMEs”.
ITeE-PIB is looking forward to help the local authority in the development of new public policies, especially policies enhancing R&D activities and supporting innovation (technological and non-technological) with a special devotion to SMEs.
Stefano Tommei, a representative of Innovation Strategies Department established contacts with many new interesting potential partners: e.g., TKNIKA from Basque Country (Spain), GPEX Regional Agency from Extremadura (Spain), IAT in Andalusian Region (Spain), UAB "SEB investicijų valdymas" from Vilnius City (Lithuania), RESOLVO Agency from London (UK), the delegate consultant of Region Vasterbotten from (Sweden) and the representatives of local authority development agencies (SVIM from Marche Region, City of Torino, Municipality of Genova – Italy). The networking activity was greatly fruitful and the Institute is already keeping the contacts alive, in order to submit a project proposal for upcoming Interreg call.
