The representatives of ITeE – PIB are going to take part in the Industrial Technologies 2014 conference, matchmaking event and the exhibition, where the Institute has its own exhibition stand as the only institution from Poland (list of exhibitors).
The event takes place on 9 – 11 April in Athens.

The Industrial Technologies 2014 conference integrates new production technologies, advanced materials, biotechnologies and nanotechnologies and innovation management. The event offers opportunities for developing valuable research and industry collaborations, and showcases cutting-edge research, latest innovations and rising companies from all around Europe.

The main topics of the conference include:

• Progress in manufacturing and production technologies,
• Materials, energy and transportation: sustainability and efficiency,
• Biotechnology,
• Advances in nanotechnology,
• Innovation and commercialisation with smart specialisation, technology transfer and education.

The projects presented at the conference by ITeE-PIB researchers are:

• System for the measurement of efficiency of heat recuperation in ventilation systems – A. Zbrowski (Design and Prototype Department),
• Testing of anti-biofouling properties of surface-modified filtration membranes – J. Skowroński (Environmental Technologies Department),
• Foresighting innovation in public research organisations – A. Sacio-Szymańska (Innovation Strategies Department).

The Industrial Technologies 2014 conference, in combination with the IndustryTech 2014 exhibition gives the opportunity to showcase the activities, demonstrators and projects to leading research institutes, key industrial actors, high-tech SMEs, policy makers, funding organisations and media. It offers the opportunity to raise visibility of a scientific-research institution and its R&D-based activities, it brings a chance to intensify networking with current and new project partners and customers from industry, and it makes it possible to disseminate research results on an international scale.

Therefore we believe that our participation in the conference would be vital as it would provide us with the possibility to present the results of R&D conducted in ITeE-PIB within the framework of the Strategic Programme “Innovative Systems of Technical Support for Sustainable Development of Economy” and to find partners for the joint realization of R&D projects  within the HORIZON 2020 Programme.
