The international Jury of The 16th Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovation Technologies ARCHIMEDES – 2013 awarded the participating Polish inventors and scientists with 15 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze medals, and special prizes as well.
Out of all the Polish innovation exhibitors taking part in the Fair, the Institute for Sustainable Technologies – National Research Institute won greatest acclaim and was awarded with 3 gold medals for a series of testers for friction, wear and lubrication tests including the following:
- T-30 device testing the resistance of toothed wheels operating in power circulating systems to scuffing and pitting
- T-11 pin-on-disc type device for the determination of properties of lubricants and structural elements in higher temperatures
- T-20 device for testing in the abrasive suspension the resistance of coatings and structural elements to abrasive wear
The Jury valued the fact that the tribotesters are at the highest technological level and have already been practically implemented both in Poland and abroad (5 practical applications so far, with Russia being the latest purchaser).

The collective Polish stand, professionally organized by the INVENTOR Ltd Promotional Agency managed by Mr. Wojciech Kółeczko, 25 inventions and innovative technologies developed at Polish research institutes and universities were presented. The exposition was co-financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The patrons of the exposition were Adam Struzik, the Mazovia Province Marshall; Prof. Leszek Rafalski, the President of the Central Council of Research Institutes; and Ms. Marta du Vall, the President of the Polish Women Scientists Network Foundation.
